Make It Happen
These days, it seems like the world is just a huge scary place that we really know nothing about, as if there's danger around every corner. I know, I feel that way every day whenever I watch all of the horrible things that they show happening to the world on the news. But there are also amazing things happening all around us, it just so happens that those are the things that usually go unmentioned. The world wasn't meant to be full of the fear that seems to be ever-present now, it was supposed to be filled with, love, happiness, and laughter; ya know all of the standard things that everyone writes about being the key to a bettering the world and all of that. The truth is though, they're not wrong; we focus way too much on the awful, terrible things that we don't ever see the good. So many of us are so blind and oblivious to everything, and everyone around us; those good things, and those good people. Don't forget those things and those people. In this world of ours we let too many good/amazing/fantastic/wonderful things slip through our fingers and always wonder what would have been, what could have been, how you may have changed as a person for the better. Isn't that what our time here on earth is for? To grow and change, and make as many great things happen as possible, not just for ourselves, but for others as well? Well, absolutely. But, here's the thing, it all starts with you. That sister you can't stand, try to understand her side of things, that friend you haven't seen in the last 10 years, give 'em a call, that girl/guy you let get away, make sure to grab your net and catch them all over again. All I want is for us to live life as we first intended, and if we spend all of our years fearing to go beyond our comfort zones, we will never get anywhere. So what are you still sitting here for? Go on and get started.

Smile
Have you ever just been sitting in a dead silent room and wanted to burst out laughing because you remembered something funny? Or, just smiled to yourself after having a conversation with someone you liked a lot, or remembered that you would be able to see them later that day and were definitely looking forward to it? I know that I have, and to be honest I love those moments; I miss those moments. I love looking forward to seeing people everyday, and hope that they look forward to seeing me too...but of course the feelings could be one-sided; but it's all the same nonetheless. It's great smiling so huge that your cheeks start to hurt, and that you feel that the feelings that you harbor inside are absolutely contagious! It just makes life so much better, and it makes everyday well past bearable; and I know that we don't always feel like smiling, but one minute spent being unhappy, is one minute wasted. Despite knowing this, I am absolutely guilty of letting sadness or anger overtake everything that may be happening in my life; but I also know that it has to stop. I'm sick, and tired of allowing myself to let in everything except the happiness that I really want, and I feel that if we all do the same, then maybe the world wouldn't seem so dark or unwelcoming. I feel that we wouldn't see the world as some stranger only out to get us, and ruin our lives; we'd see it as what we should, a haven for us to love one another, and ourselves.
So do me a favor, smile.
So do me a favor, smile.

Scars
You can tell little things about people through their scars. It's funny, we're born without them, but as our life goes on, we collect more and more (whether they be internal or external), and they become who we are. The scars of the heart are the worst, they can always feel just as painful as when the wound first opened, such as losing a friend, or those that happened to be more than friends, or family. It hurts all day everyday. Sometimes we inflict these scars ourselves, but there's never any going back. If we could reverse time, I'm sure that some would want a do over; I, however, have no regrets. They define us, these scars, and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Hearts are Meant for Sharing
"We were given: Two hands to hold. Two legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart? Because the other was given to someone else. For us to find."
-Unknown
I love this quote, it gives you just a little bit of a quirk of life itself. But in addition to finding that other heart that's "yours" I also think that the reason why we were only given one, is because it's really not ours to begin with. It is just one part of yourself that is distributed (not necessarily evenly) to everyone we love in this life; it's something that we don't get to keep. Our one heart symbolizes the one thing that really matters that contains all of our hopes, dreams, and fears, and then just whisking away those worries and fears, and shedding love is like giving little pieces of your heart away to those that you shared those things with. So you were given that heart of yours to share amongst others, don't try to build up steel walls around it, so noone can take it; but, also don't just give it away to just anyone. It does no good to feel as if you haven't loved enough in your life, or that you haven't let anyone else love you in return, or feeling like others just walk over you because of your kind, free-giving nature. Just give it away to those you feel you can trust, and also be aware that you keep just a little piece for yourself.
After all you've only got one life, and one heart, you don't want to spend it all at once.
Spread the love guys.

People
Gossip is apart of everyone's daily routine, whether it be good or bad, we spread it around anyway..even to people we don't even know, which is kind of bizarre. EVERYONE IS GUILTY, SO DON'T PRETEND THAT YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Anyway, it's the bad gossip that I'm getting at. It's how people always seem to have something awful to say about someone else, when either:
A) They don't know them.
B) Only saying it because other people are.
C) Because it's become some trend to trash others for the fun of it.
or
D) Because other people they know were hurt by that person.
All of these things that I just listed are NOT excuses to spread gossip about someone. People do get hurt by the mean things that you and other people can, and will say. SO I'M TELLING YOU TO PUT AN END TO IT. If you hear someone saying something awful, or even if you're the one doing it, kindly remind them (or yourself) that you don't know them, or their life story. I'm just getting tired of all of the hate, and drama that I see around; we shouldn't be trying to hurt others, but rather helping to bind mankind.
SO GO OUT THERE AND HELP STOP THAT GOSSIP.
Will you?
Because I know that I'll at least try.

Friendship Always
You know those people in our lives that we've come to love, and know so well? Do we really know these people, or are we just pretending that we do when really we know nothing at all? Honestly, I can't tell you. Is a best friend really someone that you can talk about boys, or girls with, or is it someone that you can share pieces of with without regretting a word? We should all be tired of pretending; pretending that we either know someone, or that they know who we are. That's why so many people feel so alone, because they feel like they can't say anything about themselves to anyone. We're all out here in this world looking for trust which, from my perspective, is becoming very scarce. So find a friend, and tell them a little more about yourself, while having faith that they'll accept you for you. I hope that my blogs are speaking to you guys out there, you are a human being, and should be accepted by others no matter who you are. Real friendships are too valuable to pass up.

A Worn Book
Over the last couple of days, I've had an idea that I think is pretty swell. What if some of us bought a worn copy of one of our favorite books, from a Half Price Bookstore near us, and wrote down our thoughts and feelings down in that book, while also mentioning our blogs or emails or anything we want really, to encourage anyone to look us up. Then, leave the book somewhere and wait for someone to find it, and see how far across the country, or even across the globe, that the book travels. We're all connected right? Right. so let's get to it.
